Solicitors and law firms

# Websites for solicitors and law firms

People look for a solicitor when something in their life needs sorting: a house purchase, a separation, a will, a dispute at work. They search for that matter, compare a few firms on reviews and accreditations, and go with the one that looked established, explained things plainly and made the first step easy. Your website has to do all of that before they open the next tab.

- A page for every practice area, from conveyancing to wills and probate
- SRA details, Law Society accreditations and your team where clients look
- The pricing the SRA Transparency Rules require, on the page it belongs to
- A call or enquiry route that works on a phone, from every page

- Brighton-based, working across England and Wales
- You own your domain and your content
- One build fee, one monthly fee

What goes in

## Built around how clients choose a solicitor

Legal clients rarely browse. They arrive with one matter, often under pressure, and want to know quickly who does that work nearby, whether they can be trusted with it, and how to start. Everything below is there to settle those questions before they get in touch.

### Each practice area on its own page

Conveyancing, wills and probate, family, employment, personal injury, commercial. Each gets its own page, written in the words a client would type, so a search for a conveyancing solicitor has a conveyancing page to land on, not your homepage.

### Regulation where it counts

Your SRA number and the SRA digital badge, embedded so it verifies rather than pasted in as an image, in the footer of every page. The Law Society schemes you hold, such as Lexcel, CQS or WIQS, and each fee earner's title and qualifications as you give them to us, on the pages that need them. Clients check before they call.

### Transparency information, easy to find

For the work the SRA requires you to publish prices for, residential conveyancing, probate and employment tribunal claims among them, the cost and service details sit on the relevant practice area page where a client will find them, not buried in a PDF.

### Reviews next to the matter they mention

Say a client thanks one of your conveyancers by name for a smooth house purchase. That review goes on the conveyancing page and on that solicitor's profile, not only on a separate reviews page, so it is seen wherever it is relevant.

### A clear route to a first conversation

A call button and a short enquiry form on every page, asking only what you need for a first conversation. No long forms, and a person at the other end.

### Consistent about your town and your practice areas

Your Google Business Profile, your reviews and your site all say the same thing about where you are and what you do. That is what Google checks when someone searches for 'family solicitor near me' or 'conveyancing solicitors' in your town.

What we handle

## The work behind a law firm website

Design is the start. These are the services we carry on providing once a firm's site is live: local search, upkeep and reporting.

The process

## How we build a law firm site

A short, plain process. Your time goes into the first stage; after that the work is ours. Nothing gets written about a practice area without asking you how you handle that work.

1

### Map the practice areas and the clients you want

We go through the work you take on, the matters you want more of, the ones you would rather refer on, and the area you cover. That decides which practice areas earn their own page and how the site is organised.

2

### Build the site

Practice area pages, a team page with qualifications and SRA details, reviews, transparency pricing, and a way to call or enquire from wherever a visitor lands. The detail search engines read goes in as we build, not afterwards.

3

### Look after it

Google Business Profile, local search, site health and hosting, looked after from launch onwards. Changes are ours to make and come under the monthly fee, so the website is never on your to-do list.

Guides

## Reading on enquiries and local search

Short pieces on what makes a visitor pick up the phone, and on local search.

### How fast should you reply to a new enquiry?

How fast should you reply to a new enquiry? For local businesses, minutes matter. Why lead response time decides who wins the work, and how to be quicker.

Questions

## Questions law firms ask

Straight answers on regulation, transparency, enquiries and who makes changes.

Do you only build websites for solicitors?

No. The same build suits licensed conveyancers, CILEX-regulated firms and chambers that take direct access work. The practice areas change. The job of the site does not: be found for that matter nearby, and turn a visit into a conversation.

Can the site carry our SRA details and accreditations?

Yes. Send us the SRA number, the SRA digital badge, any Lexcel, CQS or WIQS accreditation and your complaints procedure with the Legal Ombudsman and SRA details, and we put each where it belongs: the number and badge in the footer, accreditations beside the team, complaints information on its own page. Nobody, client or regulator, should have to hunt for them.

What about the SRA Transparency Rules?

For the services the rules cover, from residential conveyancing and probate to employment tribunal claims, immigration, debt recovery, licensing and motoring offences, your prices and what they include have to be on your website. We put that on the matching practice area page, clearly and in a prominent place as the rules require, with every item the rules list, and update it whenever you tell us your fees have changed. The figures and wording come from you; we decide only where they sit.

How do you handle enquiries?

A phone number you can tap, and a form short enough to finish on a phone. Each enquiry goes to whoever handles that kind of work, and we keep a copy of every submission, so a missed email does not mean a lost enquiry. If you book initial consultations through a calendar tool, the site links to the one you already use.

Can you move my existing site without throwing away what it has earned in search?

That is the aim. A rebuild that ignores the old URLs loses whatever those pages had built up, so mapping every old page to its new home and setting the redirects is part of the build, not an afterthought.

Who makes changes once the site is live?

We do. A new partner, a fee change, a new practice area, updated transparency information: tell us and we make the change and publish it, or send it to you to check first if you prefer. That is part of the monthly fee rather than a separate invoice, and there is nothing for you to log into.

What does it cost?

One build fee, then one monthly fee that covers hosting, maintenance, local SEO and reporting. The pricing page shows the tiers and what puts a firm in each one, and there are no call-out charges for changes.

### Something not covered here?

Tell us your practice areas and the towns you cover, and you will get an answer from the person who would do the work.
