Accountants, bookkeepers and tax advisers

Websites for accountants and bookkeepers

Most people look for an accountant when something has gone wrong: a letter from HMRC, a deadline closing in, cash flow tighter than expected. They search for what they need, compare a handful of firms, and go with the one that looked established, talked plainly and made the next step easy. Your website has to do all three before they open the next tab.

  • A page for every service, from Self Assessment to payroll and R&D tax credits
  • ICAEW, ACCA, AAT or CIOT membership and AML supervision shown where clients look
  • A call or consultation request that works on a phone, from every page
  • Fast to load, and built so Google can read every service page
  • Brighton-based, working across the UK
  • You own your domain and your content
  • One build fee, one monthly fee

What goes in

Built around how clients choose an accountant

Accountancy clients take their time. They compare a handful of firms side by side and reward the one that looks established, explains things in plain English and makes the next step obvious. Here is how we build for that.

A page per service

Self Assessment, company accounts, VAT returns, payroll, bookkeeping, CGT, R&D tax credits. Each gets its own page, written in the words a client would type, so someone looking for one thing lands on that thing.

Credentials where they count

ICAEW, ACCA, ICAS, AAT, CIOT or ATT membership, AML supervision and HMRC agent status, shown in the header and on the service pages that need them, with your team's experience alongside. Clients check before they call.

Reviews next to the service they mention

A review that thanks Sarah for a tax return appears on the tax page, the payroll page and her team profile, not buried on a separate reviews page. One review does the work of several.

A clear route to a conversation

A call button and a short enquiry form on every page, asking only what you need for a first conversation. No long forms, and a person at the other end.

A text the moment an enquiry lands

When your head is in a year-end you are not refreshing your inbox. Every enquiry triggers a text to you, so a lead never sits unanswered while a competitor replies first.

Found for your town and your specialism

Your Google Business Profile, your reviews and your site all say the same thing about where you are and who you act for. That is what Google checks when someone searches for 'accountant near me' or 'small business accountant' in your town.

What we handle

The work behind an accountancy website

Design is the start. These are the services that keep a practice's site visible in search and bringing in enquiries once it is live.

  • Centered green location pin above a minimal map with white rounded cards fanned around it, some with purple accents, in a soft pastel 3D style.

    Local SEO

The work that gets you found in map results and local searches: your Google Business Profile, pages for the areas you cover, and the technical detail behind both.

  • Three overlapping stylized browser windows floating above a black-and-green city skyline with a map pin

    Google Business Profile Management

We set up, correct and look after your Google Business Profile so the listing people see matches the business you run.

  • Stylized 3D white audit report card with green header, purple-accent gauge, small bar chart, ranked rows, and a green magnifying glass icon, isolated on transparent background.

    SEO Audit

A hands-on audit of your site's crawling, indexing, content and search demand, written up as an ordered list of fixes.

  • Stylized 3D sitemap diagram: rounded nodes connected by navy branching lines on pale green background, with a purple magnifying glass inspecting one page node.

    Technical SEO

Audits and fixes for the things that stop search engines crawling, indexing and understanding your site.

  • Person typing on laptop showing analytics dashboard with charts; phone and glasses on white desk

    SEO Reporting

Plain-English SEO reporting built on data you own, covering search visibility, traffic and enquiries in one place.

  • 3D stylized side-by-side comparison: cluttered webpage icon jumble on left and organized site hierarchy with green icons and a purple upward arrow on right, on a pale green backing with transparent outside.

    Website Migration

Moving your site to a new platform without losing the URLs, redirects and search visibility it already has.

The process

How we build an accountancy site

A short, plain process, and you are properly involved in the first stage. Nothing gets written about a service without asking you how you deliver it.

Map the services and the clients you want

We go through the services you offer, the clients you want more of, the ones you would rather refer on, and the area you cover. That decides which services earn their own page and how the site is organised.

Build the site

Service pages, a team page with qualifications, reviews, and a call or enquiry route on every page. The technical detail search engines read is part of the build rather than bolted on afterwards.

Look after it

Google Business Profile, local search, site health and hosting looked after once the site is live. Changes to the site are ours to make and are covered by the monthly fee, so the website is never on your to-do list.

Questions

Questions accountants ask

Straight answers on qualifications, enquiries, moving an existing site and who makes changes.

Do you only build websites for accountants?
No. The same build suits bookkeepers, tax advisers and payroll bureaux. A tax adviser's site leads with specialisms such as CGT, IHT, R&D tax credits and HMRC investigations; a bookkeeper's with day-to-day books, VAT and payroll. The service list changes. The job of the site does not: be found for that service nearby, and turn a visit into an enquiry.
What credentials should be on an accountancy website?
The things clients scan for before they enquire: your professional body (ICAEW, ACCA, ICAS, AAT, CIOT or ATT), your practising certificate or licence, your AML supervision and your HMRC agent status. They sit in the header and on the service pages where they matter, with any wording your body requires, because a badge next to the service it relates to carries more weight than the same badge buried on an About page.
How do you handle enquiries and consultation requests?
With a call button within reach on a phone and an enquiry form short enough to fill in on one. Enquiries go to the inboxes you name, and we keep a copy so nothing is lost. If you book initial consultations through a calendar tool, the site links to whatever you already use.
Can you move my existing site without throwing away what it has earned in search?
That is the aim, and it is worth doing properly. A rebuild that ignores the old URLs throws away whatever the old site had earned, so mapping the old pages to the new ones and setting the redirects is part of the build, not an afterthought.
Who makes changes once the site is live?
We do. A new partner, a fee change, a new service: tell us and we make the change and publish it. That is part of the monthly fee rather than a separate invoice, and there is nothing for you to log into.
Should my website show fees?
Bookkeeping and payroll fees are often fixed enough to show. Tax and advisory work is more situational, so a fixed price on every page is not always honest. Either way, explaining how you charge, what a first meeting covers and the basis on which you quote builds trust faster than a page that hides everything behind a contact form. We write that section with you.
What does it cost?
One build fee, then one monthly fee that covers hosting, maintenance, local SEO and reporting. The pricing page shows the tiers and what puts a practice in each one, and there are no call-out charges for changes.
