SEO across Sussex
SEO in Sussex, built around how local search works
A local result is decided by relevance, distance and prominence. Distance is fixed by where you trade. The other two are the work: what each page says, and how established and well cited your business looks.
- Relevance: a separate page for each thing you sell, written in the words people type, instead of one page trying to cover everything.
- Prominence: a business profile that is filled in properly, listings that agree with each other, reviews arriving steadily, and links worth having.
- Distance: fixed. It decides which nearby towns are realistic, so the plan is built around it rather than pretending it is not there.

What moves a local ranking
Local search is scored differently from national search. Part of it cannot be changed at all, which makes the rest worth doing properly. This is what doing it properly means.
Relevance, page by page
A search engine ranks a page, not a business. If everything you do sits on one page, that page competes weakly for all of it. Separate pages for separate jobs, each written for the phrasing people use, with headings and internal links that make the subject obvious.
The map listing, done properly
Categories, service areas, hours, photos and a description that matches the site. Then the listings elsewhere on the web, agreeing on name, address and phone number. Local visibility problems often start and end here.
Prominence, built slowly
Reviews arriving steadily rather than in bursts, mentions from local organisations and suppliers, and links from pages a real person would visit. There is no shortcut here, and the shortcuts that are sold do damage.
What sits under SEO
Each of these is a distinct piece of work with its own output. Most sites need some of them, not all. Which ones depends on where the site is weak and what the searches ask for.

A hands-on audit of your site's crawling, indexing, content and search demand, written up as an ordered list of fixes.
SEO Reporting
Plain-English SEO reporting built on data you own, covering search visibility, traffic and enquiries in one place.

Search optimisation for aesthetic and cosmetic clinics, built around your treatment menu and your local search presence.
Searches first, structure second, prominence last
The order matters. Building links to a page that does not match the search is wasted effort, so the diagnosis comes before any of the doing.
Start with the searches
We look at what people type when they want what you sell, which of those searches carry local intent, and who currently answers them in your part of Sussex. That decides which pages need to exist. It is a shorter, more specific list than a national site would need, because a town search is narrower and the people making it are closer to buying.
Fix the structure
A page per job, titles and descriptions that read like something a person would click, headings that state the subject, internal links that connect related pages, and a site that loads quickly on a phone on a weak signal. Where the platform is the constraint, we say so rather than working around it forever.
Build prominence, then measure
Business profile, consistent listings, a review habit that runs without you chasing it, and links earned from places worth being on. Then tracking: positions for the searches we chose, and Search Console for what is being clicked. You get told what moved, what did not, and what we are doing about the things that did not.
