Monitoring and checks
We watch that the site is up, the pages load and the enquiry forms are still delivering, so a silent failure does not sit there unnoticed.
Updates and security
The software behind the site is kept current and patched. Changes are applied and then checked, and anything that could affect how the site behaves is tested first.
Backups and recovery
A copy of the site and its content is taken and kept, so there is a version to restore from and a bad change can be rolled back rather than argued about.
Content edits
Prices, opening hours, staff, a service you have dropped, a paragraph that reads badly. Send it over and we make the change for you.
Websites rarely fail all at once. They drift. A contact form stops delivering and nobody notices. A certificate lapses. A phone number on one page is still the old one. Maintenance is the work that catches those things before a customer does.
What the work consists of
Error reporting, so a fault on the site reaches us automatically rather than waiting for a customer to mention it. Updates, so the software behind the site stays current rather than accumulating known problems. Version history, so every published change is kept and any page can be put back to how it was. And content edits: the small changes you would otherwise put off, like a price list, a new member of staff, or a service you no longer offer.
We log what changed and when. If something behaves oddly after a change, we can look at the record instead of guessing.
Why the platform matters
A site assembled from plugins is running code written by people who have never spoken to each other. Each part updates on its own schedule and can conflict with the others. So the maintenance work on a site like that includes reconciling pieces that were never designed to fit together, and waiting on a fix that is somebody else's to write.
We build on our own platform. When a fault turns out to sit in the platform rather than in your content, it is ours to fix, and every site we maintain gets that fix. We are not filing a ticket with another vendor and waiting to hear back.
Most of maintenance is noticing. The fixing is usually the easy part.
How this is priced
Maintenance is one half of the monthly fee for sites we build and host, alongside managed hosting. One plan, one bill, nothing separate. What the monthly fee covers.

When something goes wrong
Either you tell us or the error reporting does. We reproduce the fault, work out the cause, and fix the cause rather than the symptom. If it is in your content, we correct it and tell you what it was. If it is in the platform, the fix is ours to make.
Security updates work the same way. They are applied and then checked, not applied and hoped for. Where a change carries any risk to how the site behaves, it gets tested before it reaches the live site.
Who this suits
Businesses that depend on their website for enquiries and have nobody in-house whose job it is to look after it. If the site is how people find you and get in touch, it deserves the same attention as any other piece of equipment you rely on: checked, kept current, and repaired properly when it breaks.
