Performance Audit
We measure the page in a lab tool for a repeatable waterfall, and against field data from real visitors where there is enough of it. You get a ranked list of what is costing time, not a screenshot of a score.
Image and Font Delivery
Images resized to the dimensions they are shown at, converted to modern formats, and given explicit width and height so the layout stops jumping. Fonts subset to the characters you use, preloaded, and given a readable fallback.
Script and Tag Cleanup
Every script on the page has to justify itself: what it does, whether it is needed before somebody interacts, and whether it can load later or not at all. Marketing tags can usually wait.
Core Web Vitals Monitoring
We keep watching how the page performs for real visitors after the work, so a new plugin, an added tracking tag or an uncompressed upload does not quietly undo it.
Where the time goes
A slow site is rarely slow for a single reason. It is usually a stack of small decisions that each looked harmless at the time: a hero image exported straight off the camera, a font pulled in from another domain, a booking widget that loads its own copy of a JavaScript framework, a chat bubble that loads on every page whether anyone opens it or not. Separately, none of them look like the problem. Together they are.
So we measure before we change anything. We run the page through a lab tool to get a repeatable waterfall, and we look at field data from real visitors where there is enough of it, because a page that feels quick on office broadband can be miserable on patchy mobile data. The two often disagree, and the field data is the one that counts.
What the work consists of
Then we work down the list in order of what is costing time.
Images get resized to the dimensions they are displayed at, converted to modern formats, and given explicit width and height so the layout stops jumping as they load. Fonts get subset to the characters you use, preloaded, and given a sensible fallback so text stays readable while they arrive. Every script gets justified on its own terms: what does this do, does the page need it before somebody interacts, and can it wait? Marketing tags almost always can. Where a page looks the same for every visitor, we render it on the server, so the browser receives finished HTML instead of instructions for assembling it.
Most speed work is subtraction. The fastest request is the request the browser never has to make.

Core Web Vitals, in plain terms
Core Web Vitals are Google's way of describing how a page feels to use: how long the main content takes to appear, how quickly the page responds when somebody taps, and how much the layout shifts about while it loads. They are diagnostics rather than a scoreboard, and each has its own usual cause. Content that arrives late normally means an oversized image or a render-blocking request. Sluggish taps normally mean too much JavaScript competing for the main thread. A shifting layout normally means an image, an embed or a late font with no space reserved for it. We report against all of them, and we fix the causes rather than the score.
On your platform, or on ours
If your site runs on WordPress, Wix, Shopify or something bespoke, we work within it and pick the fights worth having. Some of the weight comes from the platform itself and cannot be removed without rebuilding. We will tell you when that is the case, rather than charging you to shave the edges off it.
We build our own sites on our own platform, instead of assembling a stack of plugins. That matters for speed because the performance decisions are made in the code up front, rather than patched afterwards with a caching plugin and a compression add-on. Either way, you get a plain account of what we changed, what we measured before and after, and what is still on the list.
