For trades
Websites for tradespeople, built around the jobs you want to win
We are a web design and SEO agency in Brighton. Built for builders, decorators, roofers, electricians and heating engineers: a site with a page for each job you want to win, in each place you want to win it, so the enquiry comes to you instead of through a directory.
- A page for each job type, rather than a services list trying to rank for all of them at once.
- A page for each area you cover, naming the work you do there.
- Your own photos, your accreditations and an enquiry form on every page.
- Brighton-based, working across Sussex and beyond
- One build fee, one monthly fee
Competing in a town is a different job to competing nationally
Search for trade work is short, local and specific. Someone types the job and the place in the same query, then picks from what is in front of them. A page that names both, and shows the work behind it, is the page that answers that search.
The place is part of the search
When someone needs a trade, the place goes into the search along with the job: a town, a village or a part of a city. A page that names the place, and reads like it was written by someone who works there, matches that search. A national services page has to stay vague to cover everywhere, so it matches nothing in particular.
The job is part of the search too
A landlord safety check and a full bathroom refit are different jobs, with different words, different urgency and different customers. Split them into their own pages and each one can answer its own search properly, with its own heading, its own detail and its own photos.
Your own proof, not a shared profile
On a directory your listing sits next to your competitors and the enquiry can be sold on to whoever else is paying. On your own site you show your own jobs, your accreditations and the areas you travel to, and the enquiry arrives with you.
The pages a trade site is built from
Each job type and each area you cover gets its own page, linked to the others so customers and search engines can find their way around. The list below is a starting point. Yours is set by the work you want and the places you cover.

Local SEO
The work that gets you found in map results and local searches: your Google Business Profile, pages for the areas you cover, and the technical detail behind both.
Google Business Profile Management
We set up, correct and look after your Google Business Profile so the listing people see matches the business you run.

SEO Audit
A hands-on audit of your site's crawling, indexing, content and search demand, written up as an ordered list of fixes.

Website Maintenance
Ongoing care for a live website: monitoring, updates, backups and the small content changes you would otherwise put off.

Managed Website Hosting
We run the hosting, domain, certificates and platform updates for the sites we build, so nobody has to log into a control panel.
Website Speed Optimisation
We measure what is making your website slow, then fix the causes, from oversized images to scripts the page never needed.
From the work you want, to pages that answer the search
No mystery to it. You tell us what work you want more of and where you will travel; we do the search research, build the pages, and keep extending the site afterwards.
Work out what you want to be called for
We go through the jobs you want more of, the jobs you would rather stop doing, and the areas you travel to. Then we check what people search for in those places and how hard each of those searches is to win. That list decides the pages.
Build the pages
Each job type gets a page and each area gets a page, written around what people ask for, carrying your photos and accreditations, the structured data search engines read, and an enquiry form that goes straight to you.
Publish, then keep adding
The site goes live and the work continues: new job types as you take them on, new areas as you extend your patch, photos from jobs you have just finished. A trade site earns its position by covering more of what people search for.

Questions worth asking first
The things worth settling before you build a site of your own.
Why a page for each job and each area, rather than a single services page?
Do you work with tradespeople outside Sussex?
I already get work from a directory. Why bother with my own site?
Can pages be added later?
Still deciding?
Tell us the work you want more of and the places you want it from, and we will tell you what the site would need to cover.
